Sample Itinerary

Day One

Group arrival in Newport, RI. This evening you will be greeted by your tour director and a Welcome Reception at the hotel. Dinner is included this evening. (D)

Day Two

After breakfast, we depart for a day of touring the Newport area. This morning we travel to the Prescott Farm for a Jonny Cake demonstration. We’ll enjoy a guided tour and a visit to one of the beautiful Newport Mansions. We’ll enjoy a traditional Rhode Island Lobster lunch along the waterfront. In the afternoon we’ll visit the Newport Winery for a Tour and Tasting. Then enjoy some free time at the Brick Marketplace before returning to the hotel. Dinner is included at a select restaurant in Newport. (B,D)

Day Three

Following breakfast, we travel to Boston for a special culinary tour of the Italian North End. Lunch is on our own either in the North End or at Quincy Market which is located next door. We continue to Ogunquit for a lobster pulling cruise aboard the Finest Kind lobster boats. We continue to our hotel in Ogunquit where we’ll stay for the next two evenings. Dinner is included once again. (B,D)

Day Four
After breakfast, we’ll visit Kennebunkport (Summer Home of Former President Bush). Next we ravel to Freeport (Home of LL Bean) to visit the Cold River Vodka Company where we learn about their Maine Made Vodka and then to Wilbur Chocolates for some sweet sampling. We have time for a little shopping and lunch on our own in this charming town before returning to our hotel. Tonight we enjoy a traditional Maine Lobsterbake. (B, Lobster Dinner)

Day Five

Following breakfast, we say good-bye to Maine and journey through New Hampshire to Vermont. Our first stop takes us to Quechee Gorge where we’ll have a picture stop before having lunch at the Farmer’s Diner in the Quechee Gorge Village. This afternoon we visit the Vermont Water Buffalo Company where we will tour their farm and sample their delicious yogurt. We continue to Ludlow where we check into the Castle Hill Resort and Spa for the next two evenings. A delicious dinner is served this evening at the resort. (B,L,D)

Day Six

Following breakfast, we travel to Neighborly Farms where we’ll learn about the production of their organic cheddar cheeses and enjoy some wonderful samples. We continue to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill to see their cider mill and sample many of their fine products. Lunch is on your own in Montpelier (Vermont’s State Capital). You can visit one of the New England Culinary Institutes fine restaurants. We conclude our day with a visit to the Morse Sugar Farm where we learn about sugaring and then enjoy a traditional sugar-on-snow. A marvelous farewell dinner is served at the Castle Hill Resort. Day Seven

Following a hearty breakfast, we depart for home taking with us many fond memories of our Culinary Adventure in New England. (B)
