Join us for a weekend of Good Food and World Championship BBQ with TLC’s BBQ Pitmasters star Myron Mixon at the 5th Annual Taste of the Valley in West Dover, VT.  

Myron Mixon of Jack’s Old South is considered one of the best BBQ cooks that ever lived.  Myron is the three time winner of Memphis in May, the World Championship of BBQ and competes throughout the year in other major BBQ Championships.

Myron started in 1996 in Augusta, GA where his team took 1st Place in Whole Hog, 1st Place in BBQ Ribs and 3rd Place in Pork Shoulder. 

Jack’s Old South has won over 140 Grand Championships, 30 State Championships, Team of the Year 6 times and 8 National Championships.  Myron has been featured on the Food Network, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Travel Channel, TLC Channel and has appeared with Jay Leno and Craig Ferguson.  

On Friday, September 10th join us for a VIP BBQ Cooking Demonstration dinner featuring Myron Mixon and his World Championship BBQ.  The evening features a cooking demonstration and delicious beef brisket, chicken, pork and ribs along with all of the trimmings.  

On Saturday, September 11th enjoy a morning cooking show with Chef Robert Barrall of the Café Provence, our local Junior Iron Chefs and TLC’s BBQ Pitmasters star Myron Mixon.   Chef Barrall owner of the Café Provence in Brandon, VT will join our local Iron Chefs for a fun and entertaining cooking program.  Next up we are treated to a BBQ demonstration with Myron Mixon who will share his secrets of rubs, sauces and World Championship BBQ.  Enjoy samples of Myron’s delicious Pulled Pork Sliders as a part of the morning show.   

Following our morning show we open the gates to the 5th Annual Taste of the Deerfield Valley.  The Taste will feature our local restaurants dishing up some of their specialties, a craft show, local wines, and the Art on the Mountain Show.  Myron Mixon of Jack’s Old South will participate and you will have the opportunity to meet this Guru of BBQ.
