The Brandon Inn & The Inn at Essex
Vermont’s Four Diamond Culinary Resort

Day One

Today we depart for the Green Mountains of Vermont.   We arrive in Brandon, VT where we’ll spend the evening at this historic inn.  Upon your arrival you will be greeted with a Welcome Wine & Cheese Reception in the living room.  This evening we enjoy a four course Christmas Feast followed by a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.  (D)

Day Two

After a hearty breakfast, we board the coach for the Inn at Essex.  Our first stop today takes us to the Danforth Pewter Company where we enjoy a spinning demonstration and time for a little shopping.  Next we visit Dakin Farms (Vermont’s Tastiest Attraction) where you will see the production of their gourmet meats and cheeses and sample many of their fine products.   This afternoon we enjoy some free time for lunch and shopping on your own at the historic Church Street Marketplace.  This afternoon we visit the Shelburne Vineyard for a tour and tasting at this new Vermont vineyard.  This afternoon we check into the Four Diamond, Inn at Essex.  Upon our arrival you will be greeted by the staff with a Red Carpet Welcome followed by cider and cookies in the lobby.  A wonderful holiday buffet dinner is served along with a holiday culinary demonstration.  (B,D)

Day Three

A deluxe continental breakfast is served at the hotel.  This morning we board the coach for Montpelier (Vermont’s State Capital) where we visit the Morse Sugar Farm to learn about maple sugaring and to enjoy a traditional sugar-on-snow.   Next we enjoy lunch in shopping on our own in Montpelier.  This afternoon we travel to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill where we learn about the production of their delicious cider and sample many of their fine products.  Next we visit the Cabot Cheese and Lake Champlain Chocolate Annex for a little shopping.  We travel to the Trapp Family Lodge for a horse drawn sleigh ride followed by a delicious dinner served in the Main Dining Room.  (DCB,D)

Day Four

After breakfast, we board the coach for home taking with us many fond memories of our time in Vermont! (B)

Day One

Next we visit the Shelburne Vineyard for a tour and tasting at this new Vermont vineyard.  Another wonderful dinner is served at the inn.  (DCB,D)

Day Three

Following a deluxe continental breakfast, we travel to Montpelier (Vermont’s State Capital) where we visit the Morse Sugar Farm for a maple sugaring presentation and a traditional sugar-on-snow.  Next we visit the Vermont State House for a guided tour and then enjoy some free time for lunch and shopping on your own.  This afternoon we visit the Cold Hollow Cider Mill where you can see the production of apple cider and sample many of their fine products.  Our next stop takes us to the Cabot Cheese & Vermont Teddy Bear Outlet for a little shopping.  We conclude our day with a horse drawn sleigh ride followed by a delicious dinner served at the Trapp Family Lodge.  (DCB, D)

Day Four

After a full breakfast, we board the coach for our journey home taking fond memories of our time in Vermont!! (B)
